Richard Besenczi

Let's Talk about me

Richard Besenczi is a Budapest-based artist with a knack for everything visual.
He is a real people’s person, who enjoys working with talented individuals almost as much as drinking coffee.

I like to create non-existing things.
Not only to visually explore ideas, but to create
the opportunity of them.

FACTS

I’m Richard Besenczi,
a Budapest-based
multidisciplinary designer.

From 2011 to 2014 I studied Photography at Budapest Metropolitan University where I got my Bachelor of Arts degree. Every semester I explored the boundaries of this medium; with digital compositing, twisted use of analog techniques, glitch art, or just literally setting things on fire.
During that period I started my freelance career, and realised my love for collaborating on projects from concept to completion. My focus moved from stills to moving images, and from the real to the what-could-be, expanding my toolkit along the way.

From 2017 I shared my passions for everything visual at Soterline Education Center, where I taught studio photography, film history, and digital retouching. The most fulfilling part of teaching was when I saw my students learn to give and receive constructive criticism, and to grow from my feedbacks.

Because I wanted to get a new skillset to make new mistakes, in 2020 I started learning Houdini in Mesharray Digital Media School where I tried my hand in everything from procedural modelling through particles to rigid body, fluid, pyro and vellum simulation.

Nowadays I’m interested in the possibilities of machine learning, narrative visual storytelling, virtual production, and working with you, so feel free to
