In this poetry book, I paired each of my haikus with an AI-generated image using a modified version of The Big Sleep notebook (CLIP guided BigGAN), which was trained on a diverse dataset of images and texts.
The haikus delve into the depths of personal struggles with ADHD, alienation, and depression, while the AI-generated images offer a more abstract representation of these themes. Through the use of color, composition, and forms on the verge of recognition, the images seek to capture the essence of the texts and convey their emotional and philosophical undertones.

This project ultimately serves as a reflection on the interconnectedness of the inner and outer worlds, and the ways in which our experiences and emotions can be shaped by both the natural world and the technological landscape. Technology can serve as an extension of human understanding, augmenting or complicating our perceptions of the world around us. The contrast between the metaphorical language of the haikus and the depiction of the machine-generated images serves to highlight this complexity and invites the viewer to consider the deeper meanings and connections within the art.
